All moments are key moments
The following words are from Frederick Buechner’s beautiful memoir Now and Then: A memoir of vocation.
“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.”
If you haven’t read Buechner, you really must. I particularly love his four memoirs, of which Now and Then is the second. I just reread it and found it especially profound and moving. And somehow he does all that in a mere 109 pages.
